St. Mary's Extracurricular and Enrichment Activities
St. Mary's provides opportunities for children to further their learning and express their creativity through various clubs and enrichment activities for diverse interests and abilities as an extension of classroom learning. Through these programs, our students are encouraged to think creatively and uniquely and given an awareness of community surroundings, while parental and community interaction in the school is promoted.
Students and families of St. Mary’s are supported in the academic and social growth through a variety of special activities. These include Spring Student Achievement Fair, Before and After School/Vacation Care, Apple-A-Day programs, Child Lures (child safety program), 4-H educational programs, PTO sponsored events, Saratoga Bridges Program (disabilities awareness program), Scotia-Glenville education programs, Cornell Cooperative Extension programs, Camp Chingachgook team building program, and other various educational field trips.
Students and families are encouraged give back to the community through a variety of service projects. These include food and clothing drives, and fundraising for a variety of worthwhile causes (Leukemia Society, Ronald McDonald House, Lions Club, disaster victims, U.S. Troops, Catholic Charities, local food pantry, etc).
