St. Mary's Extracurricular and Enrichment Activities

St. Mary's provides opportunities for children to further their learning and express their creativity through various clubs and enrichment activities for diverse interests and abilities as an extension of classroom learning.  Through these programs, our students are encouraged to think creatively and uniquely and given an awareness of community surroundings, while parental and community interaction in the school is promoted.


Students are invited to participate in a variety of clubs after school based on interest and age.  These include Children’s Choir, Youth Choir, Band, Computer Club, Odyssey of the Mind, FIRST Robotics Teams, Young Scholar Program, Irish Dance, various enrichment classes, Ski Club, CYO Basketball, Girls Scouts, and student “Fun Nights”.  

Students and families of St. Mary’s are supported in the academic and social growth through a variety of special activities.  These include Spring Student Achievement Fair, Before and After School/Vacation Care, Apple-A-Day programs, Child Lures (child safety program), 4-H educational programs, PTO sponsored events, Saratoga Bridges Program (disabilities awareness program), Scotia-Glenville education programs, Cornell Cooperative Extension programs, Camp Chingachgook  team building program, and other various educational field trips.

Students and families are encouraged give back to the community through a variety of service projects.  These include food and clothing drives, and fundraising for a variety of worthwhile causes (Leukemia Society, Ronald McDonald House, Lions Club, disaster victims, U.S. Troops, Catholic Charities, local food pantry, etc).
