Stone Soup was a great success!  Thank you for all of your help in sending in the items to help make our wonderful soup!  Recipes will be coming home on Thursday in the communication folders.  Enjoy!

Hug your child's mind:

READ aloud daily!

Seven and Eight year olds like to:

  • read independently (But...they still enjoy having stories read to them!)
  • read poetry, folk tales, fairy tales, and tall tales
  • Point out the weather section in the newspaper
  • start reading chapter books together each evening!
  • Make a point of visiting the public library and letting your child pick out what they want to read!  Antioch has a great library section for children!

100th Day of School!

February 6th-Monday!

Students had fun today in center activities: making something out of 100 paper cups, stringing 100 Friut Loops on a necklace, answering 100 addition and subtraction problems, and writing 100 words they knew!

They also worked hard on reading and writing about 100 Days of School!

Congratulations!
